To ensure a safe, inclusive, and academically supportive environment, SIMSAR has established various statutory and student-support committees. These committees function with transparency and integrity, addressing student concerns and upholding campus discipline, equality, and welfare.

  • Placement Cell

    The Placement Cell at SIMSAR plays a pivotal role in shaping students' professional futures. It connects students with reputed hospitals, diagnostic centres, and healthcare industries across Tamil Nadu and beyond.

    Functions of the Placement Cell:
    • Organizing campus interviews and job drives
    • Building partnerships with hospitals & healthcare organizations
    • Assisting students with internship and job placement opportunities
    • Conducting soft-skill & interview preparation workshops
    • Training for résumé building, communication & professional etiquette
    • Tracking alumni achievements for continuous improvement

    The Placement Cell ensures students step into their careers with confidence and competence.

  • Anti-Ragging Committee

    The Anti-Ragging Committee is the statutory body that formulates anti-ragging policies and ensures complete compliance with UGC and government norms.

    Committee Functions:
    • Implementing anti-ragging policies and guidelines
    • Conducting orientation programs for students & parents
    • Reviewing complaints and taking disciplinary actions
    • Coordinating with local authorities when required
    • Promoting awareness about students' rights & safety

    Every student is required to submit an Anti-Ragging Undertaking at the time of admission.

  • Anti-Ragging Squad

    SIMSAR follows a zero-tolerance policy toward ragging. The Anti-Ragging Squad monitors campus premises regularly to ensure the safety and comfort of all students.

    Responsibilities:
    • Conduct surprise checks in campus, hostels & common areas
    • Prevent and detect incidents of ragging
    • Provide immediate support to affected students
    • Report violations to the Anti-Ragging Committee
    • Maintain a ragging-free and welcoming campus environment

    The squad functions round the clock to ensure strict enforcement of anti-ragging regulations.

  • Anti-Discrimination Cell

    SIMSAR ensures an environment where no student faces discrimination based on caste, gender, religion, language, economic background, region, or disability.

    Objectives of the Anti-Discrimination Cell:
    • Promote equality and inclusiveness
    • Address discrimination-related complaints promptly
    • Conduct awareness sessions on equality and respect
    • Monitor campus practices to prevent discriminatory behavior
    • Ensure fair treatment for all students

    The cell reinforces SIMSAR's commitment to dignity, respect, and equal opportunity.

  • SC/ST Committee

    The SC/ST Committee is formed to safeguard the interests of students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

    Committee Responsibilities:
    • Provide support for academic, administrative & scholarship matters
    • Ensure implementation of reservation policies
    • Address grievances related to discrimination or academic difficulties
    • Guide students in availing government benefits and welfare schemes
    • Foster an inclusive learning environment

    The committee works closely with students to ensure equal access to academic facilities and opportunities.

  • Student Grievance Redressal Cell

    The Student Grievance Redressal Cell ensures that student concerns are resolved in a fair, confidential, and timely manner.

    Functions of the Grievance Cell:
    • Receive grievances related to academics, facilities, or conduct
    • Provide a platform for students to express concerns without fear
    • Conduct investigations and recommend corrective measures
    • Maintain confidentiality and ensure impartial decision-making
    • Promote a healthy, supportive campus atmosphere

    Students are encouraged to approach the Grievance Cell for assistance in academic, personal, or administrative matters.
